WOLLONGONG warrior Mick Cutajar will contest an Australian ultimate fighting heavyweight bout at Southport Sharks AFL Club on Saturday, November 20.

Cutajar's opponent will be Gold Coast combatant Matt Foki who has fought in Japan Pride, one of the biggest no rules contests in the world, often attracting crowds in the vicinity of 100,000 to promotions at the Tokyo Dome.

The fight night will feature a special guest appearance by five-time UFC champion Frank Shamrock, of the United States.

Cutajar is on the path to regaining the national heavyweight crown he held for five years, before relinquishing it when he broke a leg in a title defence against Steve Thomas last March.

He also won a gold and a silver medal in judo at the Pan Pacific Masters Games on the Gold Coast last weekend.

Cutajar's Wollongong team-mate Max Lemme also won a silver medal in judo at the Pan Pacific Masters.

After the ultimate fighting challenge heavyweight fight, he will be involved when the University of Wollongong hosts the Summer Pangration Open on Sunday, November 28.

Then, on December 10, Cutajar and New Zealander Big Jim will clash in the Cage Fight at Maroochydore.
